The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) has adopted rules requiring publicly traded companies to disclose whether they use tantalum, tin, gold or tungsten (“Conflict Minerals”) which originated in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (the “DRC”) or neighboring countries (“Covered Countries”) and, if so, the companies are to exercise due diligence on the source and chain of custody of those Conflict Minerals and report the results of their inquiry and due diligence.

Langir complies with all applicable laws and commits to work towards improving traceability of Conflict Minerals and ensure responsible sourcing.

Under the definition of “DRC Conflict-Free,” products supplied to Langir:

1. 생산 또는 기능 수행에 필수적인 원소로 탄탈륨, 주석, 텅스텐 또는 금(3TG)을 포함하지 않아야 하며, 또는,

2. Langir에 공급되는 제품에 이러한 광물이 포함된 경우, 해당 광물은 콩고민주공화국(DRC) 외부에서 생산되었거나, 스크랩 또는 재활용 원료에서 유래되었거나, 독립적인 민간 기관으로부터 ‘분쟁 무관’으로 검증받은 제련소에서 공급되어야 합니다. 인증된 ‘분쟁 미연루 제련소’는 CFS(Conflict-Free Smelter) 준수 제련소 목록을 통해 EICC(전자산업시민연합)의 분쟁 미연루 제련소(CFS) 프로토콜을 준수하는 것으로 검증됩니다. CFS 프로토콜을 통해 제련소는 전 세계적으로 감사를 받으며, 준수 제련소 및 정제소 목록은 www.conflictfreesmelter.org에 게시됩니다.
