L12 Anti Vandal Switch

Our 12mm Anti-vandal Switch is a compact, rugged pushbutton designed specifically to withstand mechanical abuse, harsh environments, and vandalism. Its key differentiators are its small 12mm panel cutout, robust stainless steel construction, and durability ratings including 200,000 mechanical cycles and 50,000 electrical cycles at 2A 36VDC.

A latching switch maintains its state after being actuated. Press it once to turn ON (it stays ON), press it again to turn OFF (it stays OFF). This is opposed to a momentary switch which only remains active while being pressed. Latching is the most common configuration for the 12mm Anti-vandal Switch.

The switch is rated for 2A at 36VDC with a mechanical life of 200,000 cycles, electrical life of 50,000 cycles, contact resistance of 50mΩ max, insulation resistance of 1000 MΩ min, and dielectric strength of 2,000VAC. Operating/storage temperature range is -20°C to +55°C.

The switch is available in three illumination configurations: Non-illuminated (no LED), Ring-illuminated (LED ring around the actuator), and Dot-illuminated (center dot LED). LED colors include Red, Yellow, Orange, Blue, Green, and White with base voltages of 1.8V @ 20mA for warm colors and 2.8V @ 20mA for cool colors.

The standard L12 is primarily rated for DC applications (2A 36VDC). For AC applications, please contact our engineering team for specific recommendations or alternative switch models that better suit your AC voltage requirements.

With IP65/IP67 ingress protection ratings, the L12 is well-sealed against dust and water ingress. The stainless steel body and actuator resist corrosion, and the operating temperature range of -20°C to +55°C ensures reliable performance across diverse environmental conditions.

We offer several actuator styles including flat, domed, and raised profiles. The actuator can be customized in various finishes such as brushed stainless steel, black anodized, or with custom engraving/printing for branding purposes.
